ABSTRACT The research is related to Hacienda Esmira management placed in San Borja, province Ballivián in Beni. A theoretical framework is developed of business management and strategic planning for then develops a field, where employees and clients of the hacienda as interest groups who felt respect to the same managerial practices were surveyed. Similarly an interview was made to the owner to know the vision we have and growth expectations for the cattle business. In the fieldwork it was found that while employees perform their routine activities, the market demands a change in the approach to the property market needs to incorporate. In that sense the proposed strategies and tactics from the SWOT analysis that enable strategic planning aimed at improving the profitability and competitiveness of the farm with the addition of pedigree cattle are raised.
