V ABSTRACT Design of Cultural Center in the Municipality of Cotoca Luis Enzo Aguilar Guzmán Research tutor: Dr. Arq. Irma Miriam Chugar Zubieta The present work aims to project a Cultural Center, with the purpose of recovering cultural identity, through optimal spaces for the dissemination and training of cultural heritage, tourism development and traditional artistic-productive activities in the Municipality of Cotoca. The methodology used was a literature review of primary sources, such as the book on the "History of the Cultural Center in Brazil" and secondary sources such as "The Guide to standards of cultural facilities in Spain" by Aldanondo, (2003) and "Latin America: reflections on the infrastructures and cultural facilities” of Alcaraz, (2000), among others, to identify quantitative and qualitative aspects regarding the subject. Likewise, the field survey was carried out, with site observation visits, a photographic record and the physical survey of the land and its immediate surroundings. We conclude by understanding that a cultural center is an equipment where socio-cultural activities are carried out, being composed of exhibition spaces and workshops where the user is formed in different areas that enrich the identity of their culture. Therefore, the project proposal aims to implement the lack that currently exists in the municipality of Cotoca. Keywords: Cultural center, identity, dissemination, Cotoca.
