5 ABSTRACT Design of intermunicipal and interprovincial transport transfer terminal north in the city of Santa Cruz Joana Maria Cuellar Lafayette Currently, Santa Cruz de la Sierra does not have "Transfers Terminals" but the Bimodal terminal has all the services, such as international, interdepartmental, interprovincial and intermunicipal trips. The Bimodal terminal was not born with the purpose of supplying the municipalities or provinces; it was also badly adapted to provide these services to the citizens. Santa Cruz has around 50 "stops" of intermunicipal and interprovincial transportation along main avenues such as Av. Cristo Redentor, Av. Grigota and in the main markets of the city causing even more disorder in the urban transit of the cities. areas that are with quite a flow of people and vehicles. These stops, apart from causing traffic, put citizens at risk because they travel as passengers request, sometimes they do it on the roadsides and accidents occur and there may be material losses as human. Therefore, the general objective of this project is to: Design the intermunicipal and interprovincial north transport transfer terminal to supply one of the main arrival and departure routes of the city, with the purpose of proposing an alternative route to avoid entrance of buses to the streets of the city and to the decongestion of the Bimodal terminal and the town of Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
