ii ABSTRACT The current era, characterized by the establishment of a society based on information, accelerated change, globalization, and technology; has brought consequently a new configuration of jobs. The present work allows knowing through the analysis of the results, that the technical, mechanical and practical knowledge or skills known as hard skills are no longer enough to be successful in a sector such as information communication technology (ICT) and reflect the importance of them. In this context, the following qualitative research emerges that aims to diagnose the current state of soft skills among the professionals that are part of the Small and Medium Enterprises of the ICT core within the Al Invest 5.0 program for the design of a training plan for transversal competences. Today's entrepreneurs take it for granted that they have sufficient technical and intellectual training to focus on hiring people with soft skills or soft skills. Although, soft skills is considered a competitive advantage in companies, 8 out of 10 professionals in the information communication technology sector are aware of the positive impact generated by soft skills in organizational performance. That explains in a certain way, the shortage of talents that exists now in the labor market. These results allow us to know the current performance of the soft skills and the expectations of the members that are part of the ICT core of the Al Invest 5.0 program in the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra; and develop a training plan for transversal skills to develop these skills.
