i ABSTRACT This proyect aims to develop a Balanced Scored Card to achieve the strategic and operative objectives in the financial institution Inversiones Créditos Asesoría Solidaria (ICAS) S.A. in Bolivia. The main problem is that the current strategic management of the financial institution Inversiones Créditos Asesoría Solidaria (ICAS) S.A. does not allow a proper decision making for the accomplish of both strategic and operative objectives. The most relevant theories are relating to strategic management, the process of strategic management, the balanced scored card and all of its components. During the research, an interview of the members of the board and executives of mid and high range was carried out alongside a survey to the credit counselor and a focus group of the current clients, proving that the inefficient strategic management inside the financial institution Inversiones Créditos Asesoría Solidaria (ICAS) S.A. does not allow the accomplishment of both strategic and operative objectives. As a conclusion, a proposal is made based on the implementation of a balanced scored card that has detailed activities to be followed to secure the accomplishment of the indicator selected for all of the four perspectives, the benefit of applying this proposal is more considerable than the cost, this strategic management tool will bring constant control and feedback of information in order to accomplish both strategic and operational objectives in the financial institution Inversiones Créditos Asesoría Solidaria (ICAS) S.A. proving like this the viability of the proposal.
